Central Indiana Mensa (CIM) is a local chapter of: American<\/a><\/strong> Mensa<\/strong><\/a>, which is a national group of: Mensa International<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mensa is for those who rejoice in the exercise of the mind. If you \nenjoy mental challenges and revel in the interplay of ideas, Mensa is an\n organization that will stretch your mind and expand your horizons. \nMensa is an international society that has one \u2013 and only one \u2013 unique \nqualification for membership: you must score in the top 2% of the \npopulation on a standardized IQ test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word \u201cMensa\u201d means \u201ctable\u201d in Latin. The organization is a \nround-table society, where race, color, creed, national origin, age, \npolitics, and educational or social background are irrelevant. \nOfficially, Mensa\u2019s stated purposes are \u201cto identify and foster human \nintelligence for the benefit of humanity; to encourage research in the \nnature, characteristics and uses of intelligence; and to provide a \nstimulating intellectual and social environment for its members.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mensa holds no opinions beyond its broadly stated constitutional aims<\/a>. This web site serves in part as a forum for the exchange of ideas among Mensans, including provocative views that may challenge the perceptions, opinions, values and tastes of the reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Indiana Mensa currently serves the following geographic areas in central and southern Indiana. Central Indiana Mensa’s largest population center is Indianapolis<\/strong>. Our group also includes the cities of Evansville<\/strong>, Lafayette<\/strong>, Terre Haute, Kokomo<\/strong>, Anderson<\/strong>, Muncie<\/strong>, Bloomington<\/strong>, and Richmond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
