In Person and Virtual Events
We have in-person, Zoom, and hybrid (both in-person and Zoom) events. Check the calendar below or the online newsletter for details.
We chose to use Zoom videoconferencing software because it is user friendly and it’s free. You may connect via computer, tablet, or smart phone. If you need help with Zoom, please contact Teresa.
If you have ideas for additional events or activities please contact Jan.
Zoom meeting links are sent weekly on Monday to all current members of CIM who have an email address on file with the national office. The subject line is “CIM Meeting ReMINDer.” Interested in attending as a guest? Please contact Teresa (see above).
Please note all times are Eastern time zone.
.
If you have a favorite game, bring it along. For those who would like to participate, we will also have an interactive murder mystery to solve:
“Welcome to the Phantom Casino, where you can hear chips clinking and drinks pouring all night long. The Phantom is more than just your standard Vegas gambling den, however. It’s a gathering place for intelligence agents, undercover operatives, and spies of all nations. It’s the perfect spot to win a hand of cards or steal a briefcase of secrets – and tonight, it seems to be the perfect spot to solve a murder.
“One of the nation’s top agents lies dead atop the roulette table, and it’s up to the rest of the spies to figure out who did it before the regular police can get involved and spoil everyone’s plans.”
Anyone in person or on Zoom may join us for this mystery game. If you are planning to Zoom, please let Teresa (ag18tg@yahoo.com) know before Friday so she can send you your script via email. If you will be there in person, you will get your script when you arrive. We need at least six people to solve the mystery.
Meet fellow Mensans (or soon to be fellow Mensans,) listen to a speaker, engage in spirited debate, play games (bring your own). We typically have 15-30 members and guests in attendance. Drinks and snacks provided. Members $7, Nonmembers $10, Children ages 6-12 $5, Children under 6 free. Entrance fee waived if you bring food to share. RSVPs to Teresa (ag18tg@yahoo.com,) appreciated but not required. Please do not arrive before 7:00pm. Announcements at 7:45, program at 8.
We meet at All Souls Unitarian Church, 5805 E 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46226. We will be upstairs, top floor, in the Beattie Room. Please do not arrive before 7:00pm.
Important Note for In-Person Events: Be Kind! – If you’re not feeling well or have any symptoms such as a fever, cough, runny nose, COVID, etc, PLEASE be courteous to your fellow members and don’t attend.
